What this book is

Brad isn’t just a movie star. He’s Barakiel, a fallen archangel working off his sins under the gaze of an Olympian Tribunal. For them, the Masquerade Club in Toronto is a pressure point in the supernatural pleasure economy; for Brad, it becomes the place he meets the one woman who cuts straight through his performance.

Seren is a woman who has already survived hell. Two and a half years into widowhood, she books a fantasy experience at the club’s Celestial Room to say a final goodbye to her dead husband, Hubbell—a redeemed sex angel whose spirit is allowed to possess Brad’s body for one sanctioned night.

Brad is the vessel.

He feels every second of their sacred reunion from the inside. He learns exactly what she needs, what she longs for, what she never got enough of. He walks out of that night obsessed with having something real that is finally his.

And then he cheats.

He uses everything he learned—Hub’s coaching, and later the private diary Hub told her to bring and leave behind—to manufacture a “perfect” connection she doesn’t know is half stolen. When she still won’t fall for him, he takes the shortcut he always takes; he kidnaps her to Iremia, a magically shielded island built as a sanctuary for the damaged and hunted … and quietly turns it into her gilded prison.

The kinks and power dynamics

This is a captive romance with teeth. Expect:

• A true dominant who commands, takes, and orchestrates

• A natural submissive with a high pain tolerance and a talent for dropping into subspace

• Kidnapping and captivity on a remote, shielded island—non-consensual at the situation level, with sexual scenes that start dub-con and burn their way into real consent as her internal alignment shifts

• Long, structured sessions, orgasm control, full-body worship, and sessions that run for ninety minutes to three hours because that’s her baseline

• Slave/master and prison-style roleplay drawn straight from the fantasies she and Hub wrote down together in a diary Brad should never have read—and absolutely uses before he earns the right

• Paranormal heat: Brad’s severed wing scars are hypersensitive, phantom-wing erogenous zones that only respond when he’s emotionally exposed

Content-wise, we’re in dark romance territory: kidnapping, captivity, dub-con, heavy D/s, an emotionally brutal grief arc, and an ultimately redemptive ending for readers who like their darkness held in steady hands.
